What should you do if the shock function doesn't work?

• Ensure the shock function has not been locked, press the knob button to unlock it
• Put the test light on the prongs to ensure the wire is connected with the 2 prongs, then press the shock button. If the test light lights up, it means the shock works
• Make sure the collar is worn correctly, the prong has good contact with the dog's skin, and won't cause irritation to the dog's skin

Why are 36 static shock levels better and safer than 8/16/99 level e-collars?

On a collar with many different intensity levels, the changes are very small, making it less stressful for the dog. However, on an 8/16-level e-collar, dialing from a 5 to a 6 is a big jump, causing stress for the dog. Additionally, higher level e-collars can cause discomfort for the dog.
